Gwanghwamun, Korean Traditional Architecture

One of the very old buildings in Seoul is Gyeongbokgung Palace. And Gwanghwamun is the southern main gate of Gyeongbokgung Palace.

Gyeongbokgung Palace is the place where the most people visit when they visit Seoul. Gyeongbokgung Palace is the place where the royal palace of the Joseon Dynasty is located before the establishment of the Republic of Korea. If you want to see Gyeongbokgung Palace, you must pass through Gwanghwamun.

Gwanghwamun Gate is significant as the main gate of the Joseon Dynasty's royal palace. Completed in August 2010, Gwanghwamun regained its original location and shape, and Gwanghwamun, which has been preserved in its original form as much as possible, has a status as an outstanding building representing palace architecture in the late Joseon Dynasty.

Gwanghwamun is a good place to visit in Seoul. You can also see Gyeongbokgung Palace, the most traditional architecture in Korea.
